Conservatives for Obama? Wrong Way

I have been reading a lot of articles lately about conservatives who are unhappy with the McCain/Palin ticket and the way our country is headed. In light of this, they seen to have shifted support to the Obama/Biden camp, which all in all seems reasonable I suppose. However what staggers me is the lack of move over to the Barr ticket and the Libertarian party.

The original Republican ideals where for less spending and smaller government; a government that was more state oriented and less centralized. This seems like a nice counterpoint to the Democrat ideals of social reform through government acts. However now that the Republican party has evolved into a government expanding, defense based nightmare, I find it terribly odd that people are not switching to a party that is closer to their own.

The Libertarian party's views are by no means that of the Republican party, however when switching to Obama, these conservatives are taking the exact opposite side. I will admit that this is more likely because no one believes that a third party can win the election, or they just don't know about it. But I think that now is one of the best times I have ever seen to start a revolution, and show the rest of the country that the two party system is broken, and neither party has got this down. The answer to fixing this country permanently does not lie in a Republican or Democrat in office. It lies in patriots and true mavericks outside of the main circle who are willing to stand up for something real. Obama may give you hope, but unfortunately, that's about all he's going to give you.
